Educational facilities are important factors to consider when moving with a family.

Yours South Lynn is situated near to a number of schools and colleges that cater for pupils from nursery school age up to higher education. Norfolk County Council proposes to open a new purpose-built primary school and there are also plans for a nursery school that will serve both the new community and existing residents.

Childcare facilities are also available from a number of registered nurseries and independent childminders, to provide peace of mind for working parents.

Nursery schools:

King's Lynn Nursery School provides places for around 70 children and is just a few miles from Yours South Lynn. The nursery takes pre-school children up to the age of four.

Norfolk County Council plan to provide a dedicated Early Years Learning Centre as part of their investment in South Lynn which will provide a new primary school in 2009. 

Primary education:

Yours South Lynn is situated within the catchment area of St. Michael's CE Primary School. The school takes pupils from the ages of four to eleven and caters for around 80 pupils.

Secondary education:

Yours South Lynn is served by King Edward VII School. It provides education for pupils aged eleven to eighteen.

Norfolk County Council is responsible for education and schools within the Borough of King's Lynn and provides a list of primary and secondary schools in the area.

Independent schools:

Sacred Heart Convent School is located in the nearby town of Swaffam. It caters for boys and girls between the ages of four and eleven. All girls enter the senior school at age eleven while the boys transfer to other local or independent schools.

Downham Preparatory School and Montessori Nursery is located at Stow Bardolph, near King's Lynn. The school caters for boys and girls aged between two and eleven.
