Where will the houses be?
Yours South Lynn is located just south of King's Lynn town centre and within the existing community of South Lynn. It occupies 200 acres of derelict land which is being regenerated to provide an exciting new community.

How do I buy a house?
William H Brown is the sole estate agent handling the sale of homes at Yours South Lynn. It is currently holding an exhibition at its office at 40-42 King Street, King's Lynn.

How much do the houses cost?

How much social housing will there be?
The majority of the homes will be available for private sale and 14 homes will be available for rent through Wherry Housing Association. The houses owned by Wherry Housing will be 'pepper-potted' around the Yours South Lynn community. They will comprise apartments and houses.
When will the houses be ready?
Work on the first phase of homes at Yours South Lynn is already well underway and people interested in this exciting new development will be able to purchase a property from late Summer 2006.
What is a Millennium Community?
The Millennium Communities Programme is an urban renewal initiative, supported by English Partnerships, launched in 1997. The seven new communities across the country aim to bring together new ways of planning, designing and constructing homes to enable a more sustainable way of living.
Yours South Lynn is East Anglia's Millennium Community. Many of the principles being piloted by the programme have become a part of the ideas contained in the UK government's Sustainable Communities Plan. For example, Millennium Communities are designed to include different types and sizes of home, to attract a wide range of residents and to be sustainable in design, construction and in living.

What is a Home Zone?
The Home Zone concept was pioneered in the 1970s in the Netherlands. Since then many countries have successfully transferred the core concepts and created their own safe areas.
Home Zones are an attempt to strike a balance between vehicular traffic and everyone else who uses the street - pedestrians, cyclists, business people and residents.

What is an Eco Homes rating?
EcoHomes is an environmental rating scheme for homes in the UK. EcoHomes balances environmental performance with the need for a high quality of life and a safe and healthy internal environment. The issues assessed are grouped into seven categories: energy; water; pollution; materials; transport; ecology and land use; health and well-being.

What was the land previously used for?
Yours South Lynn is part of the Nar Ouse Regeneration Area scheme which is regenerating abandoned brownfield land and creating a vital, landscaped, green environment bordered by the rejuvenated River Nar.
This land was previously home to a flour mill, a fertiliser factory, shipyards and a gasworks and has been remediated, unlocking a site that has lain waste for over 20 years. Now it has been reclaimed for the building of a vibrant community, bringing new life to the land.
Who is building Yours South Lynn?
